Posadas in Merida | Posada Puerta de Merida | Reviewed

**this review is to give you an idea on how they treat their best paying customer who paid 6.000 per month.**
I stayed at this posada for more than 6 months and in the beginning the posada was GREAT. The girls that worked at reception treated everyone with respect and made sure everyone was happy.
After they left, the owner decided that her son, Ramon, would be a great at managing the posada. However, when he started working there, customer service went down the toilet.
My sink had stopped working in my bathroom and for the last month that I was there my shower was NEVER cleaned. So the next day after the sink broke, the pipes we laying on the floor. I thought, 'great they are in the process of fixing it.'
However, I was wrong. After the 5th day I finally had to bring the pipes to Ramon at reception and demanded that I fix it.
13 days went by and it still wasn't fixed. Again, I was paying 6.000 per month, every month, for 6 months.
Finally his mommy (the owner of the posada) came and I explained what has been going on with the bathroom, and Ramon had the audacity to tell his mother that I am only 50% correct. Anyone with a half a brain would know that the problem is black & white. 13 days - sink has not worked. Shower never cleaned.
The housekeeper, Johana, told the owner that 'the bathroom is ALWAYS clean' because she uses the bathroom 'to shit in the toilet.' And she said it twice!
So I suggested to the owner that instead of talking about it, lets just go look together.
After the owner saw the bathroom, she looked disgusted and said to my attorney (who was with us) 'how could anyone live like this?'
The owner was extremely apologetic and said she would move me into another room until the problem was fixed.
The next day they had a company meeting and Ramon, instead of being a real man and admitting it was its fault, decides to tell his mother that Im an alcoholic and that I smoke marijuana in the posada to justify not fixing a simple problem.
I walked right up to him and said, 'Marijuana? Lets go next door to the police station and you can tell them I smoke marijuana.' Because I dont. Like a child...
He then got in my face wanting to fight!
Carlos, another guy who works there had to push him away.
I ended up moving out of the posada that day. The owner did nothing. I suppose the apple doesn't fall far from the tree...
So, in conclusion, for bsf 350 per day or bsf 6.000 per month, this is what you can expect.
Ramon has been working there for about 1 month from the date of writing this review, so note that the previous positive reviews I would suspect are accurate (when Lauriana and Paulette were working there)
